I have used two similar models of olympus cameras in the past which both had rechargable batteries. This model used 2 AA batteries. The battery seemed to run out faster than the rechargable ones and there was a much larger delay when taking pictures for this model.

I bought this camera because it was the lowest cost 12mp camera i could find, and im glad i did, the camera is easy to use, and it takes great pictures which i have downloaded from my camera to my pc (even without the software that came with it) was fast and troublefree, im by far no camera buff, and have read most the reviews on this camera and can say the only thing i noticed was the battery life is not long when you take a bunch of photos back too back, but hey flashights dont last forever either, so i carry extra batteries just in case i need them, all in all this camera is worth what you pay for it. Also i would like too add, when using reviews too make your mind up on a product, dont forget there are thousands of products made everyday of the same product, lemons come with everything we buy, you just have too be one of the people lucky enough not too get one, so dont be so closed minded that the product you buy couldnt possibly have been broken from shipping or handling or whatever, which is what made your experience a bad one instead of a good one....and of course there is always operator error as well. To all those people who bought this camera and got a good deal, thumbs up.

This is a nice little camera, not as small as some but can still fit in a pocket or small purse. The pictures are sharp and it's pretty easy to use (without even reading the instructions!).

Having owned an Olympus camera before, I was excited at the prospect of owning a smaller, compact camera, expecting the same quality of pictures I had always enjoyed. I was so disappointed. The pictures either come out too dark or too light and most annoying of all--blurry! I understand the return policy is valid within 30 days of purchase; too bad for me. I would gladly return it if I could. Now, I'm stuck with a product I don't like and will have to carry around my old camera if I want good pictures until I can afford to replace this one!
